The
Morton Center
The
Morton Center's evaluation and treatment programs are based on the
concept that chemical dependency is a primary illness which affects all
family members. Therefore,
the scope of our services is far wider than
just working with the
dependent person. Our
private, out-patient Center
specializes in helping families cope with
the complex problems of chemical
dependency.

CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY RECOVERY GROUP:

Intensive Outpatient Program or a residential treatment program with the opportunity to
realistically evaluate their experiences with alcohol and other drugs. For additional
information, contact Carrie Fraser, ext. 109.
ADOLESCENT
EDUCATION PROGRAM:,
provides
adolescents (12 – 18) affected by a chemically dependent parent, stepparent,
grandparent or sibling with the
opportunity to understand the nature of chemical dependency
and codependency with an emphasis on
developing coping skills; an assessment session
with a Morton Center counselor may be needed.
ADOLESCENT
CODEPENDENCY GROUP:
provides adolescents affected by a chemically dependent family member with a supportive
group to discuss and actively work on self-esteem and trust building through role playing
and peer support. For additional information, contact Carrie Fraser, ext. 109.
ADOLESCENT
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM:
provides an alternative to inpatient treatment for adolescents who are chemically dependent. For additional information, contact Bud Newman, ext. 108.
FAMILY EVALUATION PROGRAM:
provides adolescents who are harmfully involved with alcohol/other drugs and their
parents/other concerned persons the opportunity to understand and address the problems
this has created for the adolescent and the family, and to support the adolescent in finding a
solution to his or her problems. For additional information, contact Cary Kaplin, ext. 105.
