The Morton Center

While The Morton Center offers programs for addicted adults and adolescents, the scope of our services is far wider than just working with the dependent person. The Morton Center’s evaluation and treatment programs are based on the concept that chemical dependency is a primary illness which affects all family members.

Adult Structured CD Program:
provides adults who are either abusing or dependent on alcohol or other drugs an opportunity to gain knowledge about chemical dependency and examine their patterns of use. For additional information, contact Roberta Rhodes, ext. 110.

Adult Intensive Outpatient Program :
a program designed for clients to continue to be involved with work, family and daily living while they undergo intense treatment. Family participation in this program is strongly recommended. For additional information, contact Bud Newman, ext. 108.

Adult Co-Dependency Program : a program for adults, currently involved with actively addicted, or not quite recovering, loved ones. The program provides an educational component (Concerned Persons), followed by a co-dependency therapy group focusing on developing self awareness, setting appropriate boundaries, and providing guidance with the goal of loving detachment. For additional information, contact Cary Kaplin, ext. 105.

Adult Children of Alcoholics : a program for adults who were raised in families where a substance or process dependency, or codependency, was present in one or more of the adults within two generations. The program allows individuals to develop a body of knowledge to match their personal experience in order to proceed with therapy and recovery. For additional information, contact Carla Dayvault, ext. 113.

Parents of Addicted Adults : after completion of an educational program, the group provides guidance for parents who are confused about how to interact with or respond to their child who is a chemically dependent adult. The group focuses on appropriate boundary setting, expressing feelings and developing loving detachment. For additional information, contact Cary Kaplin, ext. 105..

Intervention Services : Intervention performed within the family structure or in the workplace can be an effective tool used as a first step towards treatment and recovery for alcoholics and addicts. For additional information, contact Cary Kaplin, ext. 105.

Health Professionals Treatment:
physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other professionals in the health care industry who are in need of treatment for their substance abuse problems. For additional information, contact Carla Dayvault, ext. 113..

Dept. of Transportation Assessment and Treatment : for those professionals engaged in “safety sensitive” areas of the transportation industry, e.g. HAZMAT drivers, airline pilots who are in need of assessment and treatment for substance abuse problems. For additional information, contact Roberta Rhodes, ext. 110.

Couples in Recovery : relationship counseling for those couples who are both in recovery from substance abuse.  For additional information, contact Cary Kaplin, ext. 105.
