In gratitude, for the help I received some 18 years from John Walsh and The Morton Center, I am proud to participate in The Morton Center's web presence. It is our goal that the information provided on this site will let individuals know there is help available, and most importantly, that they are not alone. If one out of four families is torn apart by chemical dependency, then someone you know is living this nightmare. In 1984, my career was flourishing, but my personal life a complete wreck. I contacted John Walsh for some help in finding answers to some difficult questions. I did not particularly like the options he gave me, but I was desperate, so I listened. (A quiet desperation is a common theme for those in need of help from The Morton Center.) His directions saved my life. Since May 1984, I have been chemically free and my life a testimony of the help you and/or your family can receive from The Morton Center. The lead-in story on this web site is an adaptation of a brochure created by Doe-Anderson Advertising as a public service for The Morton Center. |
