Services for Children Affected by Substance Abuse

The Morton Center is the only outpatient treatment program in Kentucky, focusing on the whole family, including children. Expressive/art therapy has been used for years as part of our integrated program of treatment. Our therapists have helped hundreds of children deal with addiction in their families.

Children’s Education and Therapy Services:

For children who have been affected by chemically dependent family members, this program uses sand tray, play, and art therapy informed services to help the children name feelings, separate themselves from the problem and develop language to describe their family issues.

Currently, informed services can be provided by telehealth or in-person where individuals can receive compassionate and individualized support.
